Doruk Koçyiğit graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of Ankara University in 2002 and started his doctorate education at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases in the same year. Koçyiğit, who received the title of doctor in 2008, started to work as a lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kırıkkale University in the same year. He received his assistant professor title in 2011, associate professor title in 2014, and professor title in 2020. He worked as a visiting doctor at the Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate Surgery Clinic of the Guy’s & St. Dr. Thomas Hospital in London. Koçyiğit also worked as a visiting doctor at the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic of Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, England. He has published more than forty original articles in international scientific journals and more than thirty original articles in national scientific journals. His areas of interest are cleft lip and palate surgery, reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, and zygomatic implants.
