After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine of EgeUniversity in 2001, she started her medical residency education at the radiology department of the Faculty of Medicine of Celal Bayar University in2002. She completed her residency and receive the title of attending physician in 2007. While performing her compulsory service at Aydın Atatürk StateHospital, she first achieved the qualification exam held by the Turkish Society of Radiology in 2009, and then in 2012, she received a European Commissionequivalency with a European Diploma in Radiology. She served at the Radiology Department of CambridgeUniversity Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, UK with a scholarship granted by the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, supported by the European Society of Radiology. Between 2014-2018, she worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Radiology of the Faculty of Medicine of Adnan Menderes University. She participated in a course held by the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology in Washington, DC in 2017. In the same year, she succeeded in the Associate Professorship exam and received the title of Associate Professor. In2018, she submitted her project titled ‘Structured versus narrative reporting of pelvic MRI in perianal fistulizing disease: impact on clarity, completeness and surgical planning’ to BIDMC in Boston, Massachusetts, a world-class teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, and received acceptance. Upon the completion of her project, she continued to work in her country. In 2007 she wrote a thesis on"The usefulness of measuring patellar tendon adhesion area and total tendon volume with magnetic resonance (MR) examination in patients with anterior knee pain complaints" and in 2019, she published a residency thesis study on "The role of the quantitative measurement of the elasticity of the appendix via Shear-Wave Elastography in diagnosing acute appendicitis". She has served as a project manager and executor in eight scientific research projects, one of which was supported by TUBITAK, conducted by the university scientific project support. She is registered in the YOKSIS-ARBIS integrated system and actively works forTUBITAK. Her31 articles, two book chapters in English, and four book chapters in Turkish have been published in international SCI index journals. The h-index of the academician, whose publications have been cited 123 times in ISI Web of Knowledge-WOSindex, is 5.
