She was born in Ankara in 1964. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of Hacettepe University in 1987. In 2001, she worked on clinical laser applications at the Faculty of Odontology (Faculté D'Odontologie) of the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (Université Claude-Bernard Lyon 1) in Lyon / France, and at the Faculty of Odontology (Faculté D'Odontologie) of the University of Lille (Université Lille) in Lille / France for one year. In December 2004, she acted as a jury woman at the doctorate thesis defence on "Comparison of Dental Practice in France and Turkey" held at the Training and Research Unit of the Department of Odontology (U.F.R D'Odontologie) of the University of Claude Bernard-Lyon 1. She completed her doctoral degree education on dental diseases and treatment in 2008, and she received her specialty in dentistry on restorative dentistry in 2011. In 2017, she started working as a lecturer at the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Kyrenia. She received the title of Assistant Professor in 2019. In addition to her studies and publications on the use of lasers in dentistry, she has national and international publications on the oral dental care of pregnant and puerperant women. Zeynep YENEN, who is a TRNC citizen, is married with two children. She speaks both English and French as foreign languages.
